Tras varios meses desconectado de la pintura por estudios he hecho este cuadro en unos días , mide aproximadamente 50x65 cm, es mi mayor trabajo a pincel hasta la fecha, y he decidido poner en marcha el blog de nuevo con las figuras y pinturas que tengo terminadas.

Todo pintado con acrílicos Citadel y pinceles.

After some months studying without painting a thing, this is my come back.

CMON ANNUAL 2010

Picores no deseados/Unwelcome itch.

Tras un tiempo sin pintar hace unas semanas lo he retomado con bastantes ganas, rapidez y buenos resultados, ahora toca ir volviendo a poner en marcha el blog, desde la entrada del mundial ha pasado mucho tiempo y lo tenía abandonado.

Esta figura la modeló Pablo Ronda para su nueva marca de figuras Adalid Models, me dió una copia y la pinté muy rápido, tardé dos días.
La llevé al mundial y participó en mi display con el que gané plata (aún a día de hoy no se si con una figura o con todas).

La figurá la pinté muy cómodamente, traté de recrear un ambiente de bosque húmedo, oscuro y cerrado,  todo el proceso fué sobre ruedas, fácil y divertido.

Alrededor de 70 mm.


After some time without painting a thing I'm back with some new stuff I'll post here soon (I guess...).

This figure was sculped by Pablo Ronda for his new miniature brand Adalid Models, he gave me a copy and I  painted it very quickly, during two days.
This miniature was part of my world expo display (I don't know wich was my awarded miniature, or even if it was the whole display).

The figure is set on the damp, dark atmosphere of a deep forest.

Nearly 70 mm.

Swiss World Expo ( Montreux, 2011).

Ya he vuelto a España desde Suiza, donde he estado 7 días haciendo turismo y participando en el mundial de miniaturas de 2011.

El concurso se celebró en un bonito emplazamiento(Montreux), con un párking al lado del pabellón, y un edificio muy amplio con mucha superficie para desarrollar todas las actividades.

Hubo, además del concurso, exposiciones con los greens de varias marcas de miniaturas y figuras en exposición, una feria comercial, un torneo de Warhammer, demostraciones y charlas, y algún concurso de pintura sencilla.

En fin, podría seguir relatando con intrincadas y adjetivadas descripciones que harían sombra al mismo Tolkien, pero como está todo grabado en vídeo,fotografiado, y se van a hacer mil reseñas del evento, voy a hablar de mí.

Llegué un poco despistado, no era mi primer concurso grande pero sí el primero de este formato, todo el mundo venía con tarjetas de visita, camisetas molonas, miles de cajas,  bloques y mantas de terciopelo bonito para poner el display en varios niveles... yo aparecí más campechano que el rey con mi caja de vinos y mis nueve figuras, las situé en  mi espacio tal que así:

y así se quedaron, entonces es cuando ví la profesionalidad del resto, ví el nivel tan brutal que había, y empecé a ver las figuras de mis pintores favoritos que sólo había visto por internet.

Y tal cual llegué, me fuí.

El Domingo, tras mirarlo todo de nuevo, me dirigí a la entrega de premios, momento en el que de repente (no sin dificultad) pronuncian mi nombre y apellidos y me entero de que he ganado plata en nivel superior pintura fantástica.

Así que, me llena de odgullo y satisfacción anunciar que he pillado plata en master en el mundial, ¡que jolgorio!

I'm back from Switzerland, where I've been for 7 days visiting the country an participating at the iniature World Expo(2011) at Montreux.

The contest was in a beautiful village, with a parking nearby the contest, and a huge space  for the event.

There was a lot of stuff , like some miniature demos, greens from many brands, shops, a Warhammer tournament...and, of corse, the painting contest.

I could spend the whole day talkin about it, but you better take a look at the pics and videos featured on many webs :D

I arrived at the contest just with my  wine box full of miniatures, and I put them in my display space like this:

then I took a look around and nearly shitted myself, everybody had artist cards with their info, team T shirts, cool display bases and I just had a piece of paper and 9 miniatures.

So it was sunday at last, I took a look around to watch again all the cool stuff people brought to the contest, and the award delivery started...

That's when I heard my name...

I won a silver medal at fantasy miniature painting, superior level  !!1

Hamlet, el veterano/Hamlet,the veteran.

Al fin fotografías de esta figura, se trata de un proyecto conjunto entre mi amigo acordeónico-pictórico Pablo Ronda y yo para el pasado Golden Demon de España.

Él se encargó de lo referente al modelado, y yo de la peana y la pintura, ambos dedicamos bastantes horas y esfuerzo y el resultado mereció la pena, compitió en una dura categoría del Golden Demon, y ahora reposa mansamente en mi cajón del dolor, a la espera de volver a ver la luz en Suiza.

He decidido llamarlo Hamlet, conociendo la vasta(que no basta) cultura de los lectores de mi blog (*guiño*) se que el título no necesita explicaciones.

At last some pics of this figure, it was a project I made with my friend Pablo Ronda for this year's Spanish Golden Demon.

He worked on the modellling stage of the progect, and I just made the base and painted the piece, we both spent hours and efforts on this guy, but the final result looks nice.Now the marine sleeps in the depths of my pain box, waiting to get out at Switzerland.

I've decided to call him Hamlet, I know you blog readers are all educated persons (*wink*) so I know you can understand his name.
